Can we expect a major mainstream media source, like Fox News in particular, to actually deliver true journalistic facts to the general public without adding personal biases?
On September 11, 2012, Islamist militants attacked U.S. complexes in Benghazi, Libya. Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed, the first U.S. Ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979. Three other men were killed and ten were injured.
It seemed for the longest time that our friends at Fox News covered Benghazi endlessly, ad nauseam. After the attack on our diplomatic compound, Fox was a tireless antagonizer of the situation. Their main claim? Our President and his administration had conspired to enable this attack to happen.
One of Fox’s primary claims was that our administration ordered a stand-down order. This was false. Another claim was military inaction or a delayed response. False again. Claim three was deliberate misconduct by Obama’s administration. Again, this was proven false. Finally, claim four, was intelligence failures before the attacks.
The report conducted by the GOP-led House Intelligence Committee can debunk many of the myths that Fox News has spent the last two years promoting. The sad thing is after thousands of hours pushing their propaganda and over 1,100 segments ran reporting on Benghazi, they completely ignored the H.I.C’s findings.
For the station that claims to be “Fair and Balanced,” they are truly showing their sociopathic side by not accepting the findings of the report. After 20 months of trying their hardest to push false claims and assertions on the public, they can not face facts.
They were wrong.
Accept it Fox News.
