Girls are always a mystery to guys, and guys are always a huge question mark to girls. What’s up with that? Surely, everyone’s always wondered what it’s like to be the opposite sex but were too afraid to ask.
So we got two guys and two girls to work together to come up with ten questions for the opposite sex and then answered each other’s questions, so both male and female perspectives were covered.

1)What would make you interested in a guy?
A sense of humor. I don’t care if he’s the hottest guy in the world. If he can’t make me laugh, I’m not interested.
A guy who’s not afraid to stand out. Most boys feel like they have to conform to what every other guy is like. But someone who is truly their own person is someone I would be really interested in.
2)What qualities do you look for in a guy?
Funny, sweet, fun, and smart. I want someone who I can joke around and have fun with, but at the end of the day I can still talk to about how school is going and about his future that does not involve working at McDonald’s for the rest of his life.
I look for a guy who is smart, funny, and charming.
3)What is adversity like for you compared to a male?
Periods!!! Then there’s sexism where guys think we just belong in the kitchen. Also, if we don’t have the perfect body, we don’t feel like we’re good enough.
Kaitlyn pretty much summed it up. Periods!!!! Ugh! Also, guys don’t understand how attached girls can be. Once we find someone we really enjoy being around, we can end up getting too clingy, while guys on the other hand are very chill and laid back. They don’t really express their feelings toward their partner.
4)How long would you consider dating a guy?
I am currently single as of a few days ago, and I plan on staying that way until after I start college.
Currently I am a single Pringle. But if I was to find a guy who is the most compatible for me, I would date him up until my senior year because we would probably end up going to different colleges. I don’t want to end up being heart-broken when we graduate high school, because I wouldn’t be able to see him anymore, so I would end it before then.
5)Would you surrender more social time with friends for him, in or out of a relationship?
Yes, I have a very busy schedule between work and school, so if we got the chance to hang out, I would jump at it. But I do believe couples can be together way too much, and it ends up causing problems. So I think spending time with your friends is definitely important!
I am a person who is big on friendships, and all of my friends are extremely important to me. So giving up time with my friend to hang with my boyfriend is something that I would struggle with. One thing that I would end up doing is compromising and hanging out with both of them at the same time.
6)Would you prefer the good or the bad types of guys? Opinions?
I like guys that have good qualities like being sweet, kind, and understanding. Someone who was raised to be a gentleman, like pulling my chair out for me and opening doors for me. But I also like guys that aren’t afraid of taking risks and having fun.
I would have to agree with Kaitlyn. I like guys who are sweet and caring but on the other hand, a guy who is too nice can sometimes get boring. I want someone who can keep me guessing.
7)Sum up an ideal date. What is expected?
First, he picks me up. If he can’t, it’s no big deal. I don’t mind meeting him. Then he takes me to dinner (it doesn’t have to be a 5 star restaurant, I would honestly be happy with Chick-Fil-A) and pays for me. Next, he takes me to the movies and buys my ticket. Afterwards, we walk over to Dairy Queen and he lets me buy both of us ice cream.
An ideal date for me would be a nice day at an amusement park. We would eat hot dogs and burgers while drinking the coldest slushies ever! Then we would ride roller coasters all day, and then end the night by going to a drive up movie, like the ones in the old days, and watch a scary, spine-chilling horror movie.
8)If a guy goes too fast, would you confront him about it or go with it? (BE HONEST)
Depends on what you mean by too fast. If he tried doing something I didn’t want to do, heck yes I would tell him! But if he was just too clingy or something, honestly I would probably not say anything for fear of hurting his feelings.
If I feel a guy is moving too fast, then I would definitely confront him.
9)Does his priorities affect your opinion about the guy?
Yes, yes, yes!!! If his biggest worry is going out and getting high or drunk, it’s a huge turn off. But if his biggest priority is his job, his future, or his school work, then I will respect him so much more!
Yes, they would. If he is focused on something that won’t better his life, then I would definitely be concerned.
10)Would the guy’s belief or job affect you dating this guy?
Belief? No. Job? Possibly. I don’t want to be with someone who is always too busy for me and can never hang out because he’s always working. If he’s planning on not going to college and has no other plans for himself other than just working minimum wage for the rest of his life, it will definitely make up my mind about being with him.
I am very passionate when it comes to my religions faith. I was born and raised a Catholic, and I could not date someone who didn’t feel as devoted as I do about Christ. Amen!
Girls Ask Guys
Blue- Sophomore Trenton Trotter
Red- Junior Chayce Marquez
1.What makes you want to first talk to a girl?
First of all, I have to be attracted to the girl, a key factor. She always has to have a positive personality and support me in what I like to do. She must have priorities and great moral goals. I would like her to be classy, not trashy.
Respectful to me and all others is expected. The positive influences in her life, such as friends and family. I prefer her interests to be similar to mine.
2. What do you consider a good relationship?
For me, personally, a good relationship would have great communication. Give each other their personal space and respect their boundaries.
Make each other happy to the fullest. We must work out any problems together and get past them together as one.
3.When would you be willing to introduce a girl to your family?
In my opinion, and I’m pretty sure most guys would agree, a great time to introduce this girl to the family is when she proves she loyal to you and you only.
I agree with Trenton. Another thing to consider is if she’s willing to put in the same effort as the guy is in the relationship.
4.What’s you biggest turn off of a girl?
A major turn-off for me is when girls smoke, drink, and dress trashy in any kind of way, and when girls act stuck up as well.
When girl’s lie, smoke, and drink an unacceptable amount. Also parties more than average (2-3 parties a week) who uses vulgar words and who is bossy.
5. How long would you talk to a girl before you ask her out?
I would prefer maybe 2-3 weeks just to really set it. I’ve rushed one relationship which didn’t work, so I’ve learned from mistakes.
I would get to know her for at least a month, so we would have an idea of what to expect from each other.
6. What do you look for in a girl?
Attractiveness and a good personality. They have to be funny, smart, loving, and acceptable.
I agree with Trent, but I like a girl that shows good qualities and morals. Attracted to each other equally and has similar traits as I do.
7.Out of one to ten, how much do her looks matter?
To me I would say a 6-7. The rest is the qualities she has and the amount of interest she shows me.
Like I said, attractiveness is a very important aspect in a relationship. So to me, her looks would be about a 6-7. Just like Chayce.
8.After being with how many girls would you consider yourself to be a player?
Honestly, a guy should be faithful to one girl and one girl only. Are you going through girls like bubblegum? Yes. So therefore, you’re a player.
If you have a different girls after every week, you are considered a player to me. If you are a player, you have no respect from me.
9. Why do boys cheat?
It’s genetics. I think guys are used to doing things they’re not suppose to be doing and not following rules. We are stubborn.
In my opinion, guys cheat because lack of communication, irritation, and/or jealousy.
10.Would you date a girl of a different race? Why or why not?
Yes, I don’t want to limit myself. Right now, I’m happy with how my choices are going.
To me, her race has nothing to do with how I choose my girls. If you look attractive to me and you have a great, fun, goofy personality, I would date you.
If you have any questions for the opposite sex, leave a comment with your gender and the question you would like to have answered and we might ask it in the next questionnaire.
