Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re single, here are a few ideas for you to celebrate. 1. No date, no worries!
“Treat yo self,” I would say. Go with friends to see a movie. You can’t be the only single person in your group of friends. Call your squad and take on the town together. If all of your friends have dates, then plan a massage for yourself, and then later head over to the mall or Starbucks.
2. Look at the positive!
The positive is that you don’t have to worry about what to get your significant other. If you think about it, people who are in relationships stress about Valentine’s Day. Boyfriends and girlfriends stress over what to buy or what to plan for the special date with their loved ones.
Meanwhile you are just sitting there thinking, “Since it’s Valentine’s Day, all the chocolate will soon be half price.”
3. Spend time with family!
Family is important. Go out with your family and have a fancy dinner. When was the last time you did something nice with your family? Call them up and have a great time.
4. Go on vacation!
A cruise is one of the best ways to travel these days, and singles cruises are all the rage. If you don’t have the money or time, then take a quick road trip to a place that you’ve never been to before but always wanted to visit.
5. It’s just another day.
So it’s Valentine’s Day. Big freaking deal. Just treat the day as any other day in the year. Follow your usual habits on binge watching Net-flix or blog like crazy on Tumblr. Also, you can take a double shift at work, and do something nice for your co-workers.
Fun fact: according to CNN in 2010, there were 96 million people in the United States that are single. Which means you are not alone. So you shouldn’t stress that it’s Valentine’s Day if you are single.
Just follow these tips and you should be fine.
