Kaya Clanton, a sensational senior at Foley High School, has been selected to be our school’s Red Ribbon Leader. She participates in many organizations around the school, like sports medicine, Interact, National Honor Society, etc.
But her selection of being the Red Ribbon Leader was made because she does all of these activities drug-free!
I asked her a few questions regarding being selected as the Red Ribbon Leader below is what she said.
Q: How excited are you on being chosen to represent Foley High School as the Red Ribbon Leader?
A: To be chosen to represent Foley High School as a Red Ribbon Leader is a complete honor! I’ve been with the Peer Helper program for seven years now, and it’s been a great experience overall!
Q: What positive influences, helped develop your character?
A: My mother instilled in us that being drug-free is the way to be!
Q: How would you handle a situation with someone abusing narcotics?
A: I would do my best to try to inform that person that drugs are dangerous, and the impact drugs can have on you can make lasting impacts on others.
Q: What school activities do the Red Ribbon Leaders have planned?
A: The peer helpers of FHS will be assisting me with several projects that will spread awareness to be drug-free.
Thank you, Kaya, for representing Foley High School so well!
