This year, Foley’s FFA President is Olivia Starkie. I was able to ask her a few questions about how she got involved with FFA and why she loves it so much.
Q: Where were you born?
A: “I was born in Pensacola, Florida”
Q: When did you first get involved with the FFA?
A: “January of 2016”
Q: Were you on any competing FFA teams?
A: “Yes, I was on the horse judging team. We placed 6th in the state out of 20”
Q: What got you first involved with FFA?
A: “When I first moved here Dr. Taylor, put me on the horse judging team”
Q: What did you enjoy most about being involved in FFA?
A: “The three things I’m thankful for: friendships, field trips and advisors”
Q: Were you ever an officer?
A: “I am the 2017-2018 President”
Q: What was your favorite SAE?
A: “Teaching my horse how to carry a flag.”
