Avery Trawick is my niece, and she is spunky, full of laughter, and very energized for a two-year-old girl. She also moved into her first real house recently. When we arrived at her new home, she immediately wanted to check it out, but due to our family moving large equipment and boxes into the house, I did not want her to get injured. Avery and I ended up going for a walk together instead. It wasn’t until we passed an older fenced-in house, that I realized she was the one leading me where to go. Oh, Avery, always full of adventure.
I noticed a car coming, so I had to tug her hand a little bit to get her into the grass. All of a sudden, there was a very loud vigorous bark coming from behind us. Pit bull. Avery, who is usually always brave, was not this time. She jumped up and swung her arms in the air in panic and grabbed my hand once more, crying. We ran back in the house and all I could hear was her giggling.
Avery definitely has a goofy personality, and that is just one of the many things that people love about her.
For a two-year old, she has a lot of sass, and by sass, I mean she is a perfectionist. She wants everything done just right. Last night as I was unpacking her room, she told me exactly where to put everything. If I just happened to kick one of her toys by accident, she would smack my leg and shake her pointer finger at me in disapproval.
My niece always knows just how to put a smile on everyone’s face, no matter the circumstance. If you are feeling down, she will be there with her stuffed Minnie Mouse to hold your hand and hug you.
It always gets to me when I think about how precious life is and how it can be so exhilarating!
