Superintendent Eddie Tyler and the Baldwin County Board of Education are announcing the construction of a second Foley Elementary School.
“We are excited to invite excited to invite everyone to groundbreaking for the new Foley Elementary School – a second elementary school for Foley,” said Superintendent Eddie Tyler
Everyone is invited to the ground breaking on May 11, 2018 at 1:30 pm, at the construction site next to Foley Intermediate School, 2000 South Cedar Street. The new school will hold grades K-6 and will be adjacent to Foley Intermediate School. The old Intermediate school will be demolished in order for the new one to be built. Construction is set to begin in mid-July.
The new school will be 113,00 square feet and will even include a tornado shelter. The architectural rendering of the new school wil be unveiled at the time of the groundbreaking.
Foley Mayor, John Konair says, “because the City of Foley continues to grow tremendously and more residential and commercial growth are on the way, this school will be welcomed with open arms by Foley families.”
