April Loyle is a Foley High School graduate who started photography in her early twenties. She has been growing her business ever since, without a college degree.
She has traveled all over the world and documented all of it through her art. She has experienced many things in her 34 years. She lived most of her childhood “camping,” or at least that is what she thought. Growing up, she didn’t always get to sleep in a nice bed or even in a nice house. April’s daughter has never had that problem. April’s favorite thing to do, her job, has provided a nice life for her and her little family.

My favorite quote at the moment is “How wild it was, to let it be”- Cheryl Strayed. To me, it means that the simple act of letting things go is actually wild. That inspires me.

This sounds crazy, but I like it when it is cool and overcast. I don’t like it to be hot, because it kills my creativity. Also as a photographer, shooting in new places very good for me; I can just have fun and let my mind run wild.

Yea, I think social media makes us feel the constant need to update the world on our lives. It makes us feel like mini celebrities.

It has opened my mind to how big the world is. Also how small it can be. I have formed many relationships and gotten many jobs from Instagram. It has shown me many places. I hate Facebook.

It is not as important to be physically attractive but attractive in the way where people find you relatable and funny.

It’s actually hard to spend time with yourself and think deeply; there are so many distractions. It is hard to appreciate many things because life moves so fast. Everything is constantly changing, and we never stop to just take it all in.
When you were a freshman did you think you would be living the life you live now?
No! No! No! I didn’t think much of my future, but I did not think it would be anything like this. It is way better than I thought it was gonna be.
Introvert or Extrovert?
Both! I think it’s called an ambivert. I can hold my own in social situations but I don’t like to stay in them for too long.
What is your favorite part of your job?
MA JOB? Mostly, all the rad places I get to go. I really geek out over national parks. I also love getting work with really cool couples and people and give something really special. When I was little, I used to always look at my grandparents photo albums, and I love that I can give that to someone else.
