A Key Club lieutenant governor is responsible for supporting and growing the clubs within his or her division and serving as a liaison between the Division, District and the International level. Duties include: publication of a newsletter, club officer training and support, holding divisional meetings and serving on one or more district committees. We are proud to have a Division Lt. Governor from our school, Richard Nguyen!

“Hey! I am Richard Nguyen. I am an Alabama Native, born in Mobile, Alabama, but then I migrated to Foley, Alabama. I currently serve as the Lt. Governor of Division 19 in the Alabama District. My duties are summed up in three words: C.E.O; to Captivate others to serve their community, to Educate Key Clubbers on leadership skills, and give members the Opportunity that they seek in our community and in the world.”
“I am the first Lt. Governor in the 21st century in Foley Alabama to be elected in over 20 years. I proudly serve in the International Committee in Leadership and UNICEF. With my guidance, we are currently number one in the Great Alabama District for 7 months consecutively. I was Elected February 12, 2018 and inducted on March 14, 2018 and will retire April 7th, 2019.”

“The office of Lt. Governor in KCI (Key Club) is the backbone of Key Club. We report into the local, district, and international levels on what we do in our community. We proudly represent the Great Alabama District well and continue to live by that legacy to generations to come! Currently I have raised $3,300 dollars for our District project of Children’s of Alabama, Charter 3 Key clubs, and as well 2 builders clubs in Baldwin County.”
“A little about myself is I’ve been in KCI for four years in my high school career. I am the former junior class Vice President and now currently serve as the 99th Senior Body President of the class of 2019. I am the Vice President for FTA and NTHS. The Secretary and the former President of Student Council. As well, I serve as the liaison for Interact and JOOI club. I am also the parliamentarian of HOSA. I serve as the New Director of FEC, and I am a C/Captain in the AFJROTC program. Out of school, I am the First Vice of the Sons of the American Legion and House Committee.”
Plans after High School-
“I have been in the Foley Education system for 12 years of my life and as soon as my high school career is over, I plan to attend Marion Military Institute and commission as a Naval Officer in the United States Navy.
After my Military career, I plan on being in the Alabama Legislature and serve the people of Alabama.”
