Foley High School hosted a powderpuff game for the 2018-2019 school year.
A powderpuff football game involves flag football or touch football games between girls from junior and senior classes. This year the Juniors won of an overall score of 27-24. The girls had lots of fun recruiting the team; they also mentioned how much fun they had at their practices. They were all very dedicated to attending practices during their Thanksgiving break and the results demonstrate it.
Star player Emily Hammac said, “I had no idea what to expect at the powderpuff game, but it was definitely was the most fun I’ve had in a while. From the practices to the actual game, to eating at El Paso afterwards, every single second was something new. I was able to connect with new people while using my athleticism to play football. I highly recommend giving it a try! ”
Below are pictures of the girls that night.
