Health Science is part of the Career Technical Educational Program at Foley High School.
There are also several credentials that can be obtained for Health Science. Upper level students can prepare for and take the Patient Care Tech Credential or the BLS Instructor Credential. Seniors can participate in the Basic EMT Program through dual enrollment with Coastal Alabama Community College.

Meet Mr. Sean Ahonen
Sean Ahonen began teaching at Foley High School in 2006. He presently teaches Foundations of Health Sciences and Sports Medicine to all grade levels. Meet Mrs. Sondra Luker:
Ms. Luker began teaching Health Science at Foley High School in 2013. Her background is in nursing and she spent most of her hospital career working in the Surgical Trauma ICU of a level 1 trauma center. The transition to teaching has taught her a lot, and she enjoys teaching students about the opportunities that are available to them in the field of health care.
Students who follow the program through to its completion can be prepared for an entry level job in the healthcare field.
