Foley scored 4 runs in the third and fourth inning to lead the Lions to a 9-4 victory against Gulf Shores on March 11th.
With the win, Foley goes to 5-7 on the season. The win will also split the season series with the Dolphins.
Seniors Cody Wagner and Eddie Patterson both had two hits, with Wagner driving in three RBIs and Patterson driving in two.
An early 1-0 deficit went away for the Lions with a four-run third inning, with Patterson driving in three runs and Wagner driving in one.
The Lions tallied four more runs in the fourth inning with T.K. Burton, Wagner, and Romman Duplesis all driving in runs.
Starting pitcher Eddie Patterson earned the win on the mound for the Lions, only allowing four hits in five innings. Reliever Kyle Adkins threw the final two innings.
Gulf Shores’ only runs came in the first two innings and one more run added in the bottom of the ninth. Mason Boyd will take the loss for the Dolphins, allowing one hit and three runs over two and a third innings.
Foley starts a three game home stand on Friday, March 15th, against Bayside Academy with first pitch at 6:00 pm.
