Zachary Sizemore is a senior at Foley High School, graduating in the class of 2019. He was a member of the Foley Lions Football team from his freshman year to senior year. Zach likes to watch sports on TV as well as play them with his brothers in the backyard. He loves cheering on South Alabama athletics and wants to go to school there.
Q. What are your post graduation plans?
A. I plan on attending the University of South Alabama for four years. I want to study Communications with Broadcasting, because my dream is to become a sports broadcaster. I feel like South is the home for me and I love the school.
Q. Tell us about the friends you made through your high school years.
A. A lot of the kids in this school are people I have known all of my school life. I have lost some friends that I had coming in to high school, but I have also gained some awesome friends. How can I not mention my girlfriend I’ve been with since sophomore year!
Q. If you could learn anything, what would it be?
A. I would love to fly. It doesn’t make sense with this reason, but I feel like it would make me taller than everyone instead of being shorter than anyone. I would be able to fly over everyone anytime I wanted to.
Q. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
A. My favorite indoor activity is watching sports on TV with my family. College football season in my house is a crazy scene. My favorite outdoor activity is throwing the football around with my dad and brothers.
Q. What is your favorite time of the year?
A. It would definitely be a tie between football season or March Madness. Football season is a great time to bond with family through tailgates and rivalries. March Madness is great because of the games being played during school and getting to watch teams you’ve never even heard of beat the big dogs like Duke.
Q. If you could witness any event in the past, what would it be?
A. I definitely would love to have witnessed the Atlanta Braves winning their only World Series championship in 1995. The Braves are my favorite team and in recent years, they have struggled. They are coming back strong this year though, so hopefully I can experience a World Series win by my team.
Q. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
A. I would like to meet 2018 rookie sensation Ronald Acuna Jr. He plays outfield for the Atlanta Braves and is my favorite baseball player at the moment. He hit 26 home runs last year and won 2018 Rookie of the Year. It would be a dream to get to meet him.
Q. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you do?
A. I would give back to my parents for all the years that they took care of me. I then would buy a Ford GT, which is my favorite car. I would definitely buy season tickets for the Atlanta Braves every year.
Q. What soundtrack is in your life?
A. My Spotify playlist contains literally every genre including rock, rap, and country. My favorite artists are Kane Brown and NBA Youngboy. I feel there isn’t one song that fits my personality though.
Q. What are your extracurricular activities?
A. I played football for Foley High School from 2015-2018. I wish I had involved myself in other events or activities while I was here though. Playing football was the best experience for me, because I got to experience going to Prattville and Hoover in my senior year.
