Q: What were the best parts of teen pregnancy and why?
A: The best parts of being pregnant was seeing the ultrasounds, feeling him move around, and knowing that I’m going to have someone one who loves me no matter what and being there to help me learn from my mistakes. They were the best parts because of just knowing that you’re bringing someone into this world who motivates and inspires you to do better in life.
What was the worst part of teen pregnancy and why?
The worst part of teen pregnancy was the feeling of losing everyone and feeling alone. I had lost all of my friends and dropped out of school. I lost my family and got laughed at and made fun of, but I didn’t give up.
What was it like before, during, and after labor?
Before labor, I could feel him trying to push his way out. Labor was painful, but I was excited to meet the little boy I was bringing into this world. I couldn’t stop overthinking, but I couldn’t do anything about it. Labor was the worst pain I have ever felt. I was screaming at the top of my lungs and cursing at the nurses. After the labor was over, it was still painful but it slowly went away. The pain lasted for days, but I didn’t care for the pain, as I just wanted to be with my baby.
What is it like taking care of a baby at your age?
Taking care of a baby at 17 is a little harder than you think. I dropped out of school, and I can’t get a job. With help from my mom and my sister, it’s not as hard. You just need to do your best. Its fun having a baby and spending time with them. I’m glad I had him; I just wish I waited a little longer.
