We have an outstanding 2018-2019 Online Newspaper Staff at Foley High School.
Alyssa Aligood is a senior this year. After she graduates, she plans to attend the University of Mobile and major in journalism. She is involved in band, link crew, and of course the Newspaper.
Alyssa is extremely excited to finish off high school strong and make many more great memories before heading off to college!
Amari Lewis is a funny and smart guy. He considers himself to be a very athletic person, because he plays basketball and ran track.
Amari has three siblings and four step siblings. He also has a dog.
Amber Bennett is a Junior at Foley High School and is in colorguard and winterguard.
She also enjoys taking naps with her dog Marina and hunting. Amber is a great student and friend to everyone she meets.
Hi! My name is Ariel Sirmon. I like to dance and sing for fun. I have two snakes, two dogs and a cat. My favorite sport is tennis.
My name is Brianna LaCoste, and I have four dogs and one cat. I do not play any sports or participate in any clubs, but I work at a coffee shop in Gulf Shores.
Photography is a big part of life because my mom is a very talented photographer; it has become a passion of mine as well.
Bryan Colley is someone who tries to be nice to everyone and works his hardest. Bryan is 16 and has one dog, a Yorkie named Oliver.
Bryan does not do any out of school activities besides being a junior Homeroom Representative.
Cheyenne Underwood is a Senior at Foley High School that loves to read all kinds of fiction books and watch many action movies (including Marvel and DC). She is involved in National Honors Society, FTA, Newspaper, Link Crew, and has just joined Leo Club for the 2018-2019 school year. She loves to spend time with her family and even her two best friends at any point that she has free time to do so and would go out and do anything with any of them!
Damaeri Alvarado is a positive outgoing young lady who strives to achieve success in every aspect of her life. She has been in ROTC, Student Council ( Secretary 2017, Homeroom rep. 2018), Key Club, National Technical Honor Society, and National Honor Society, but she also hopes to join friends with exceptional kids. She is best known for her school pride, whether it be helping a peer, the community, or just screaming her lungs out to encourage the school teams.
I’m Emilia Alvarez. Here are three interesting facts about myself:
1. I’ve lived in Foley since I was one, and I came from New Orleans. 2. I have a small dog. Her name is Princess. she is a Chi-weenie, and she is nine months old. 3. I have four sisters that live in New Orleans, and they are all older then me.
Genesis Rivera is a junior at Foley High School. She is involved in NHS, Junior Ambassadors, Key club, Newspaper and homeroom rep. She is also in colorguard for marching season and competitive/winter guard for winter and spring season. Genesis does a lot of volunteer work at her church and is also in choir at her church.
Hi! My name is Hannah Martin, and I want to become a pastry chef when I grow up.
Music is very important in my life, and I also play guitar.
Heriberto Leal is a hardworking junior at Foley High School who takes part in numerous clubs such as: Junior Optimist Club, Key Club, Leo Club, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, National Technical Honors Society, Link Crew, also he is the HOSA’s 2018-2019 Historian, and he is the junior class’s Vice President for 2018-2019. His goal is to become a surgeon in pediatrics and wants to major in Biomedical Sciences and attend medical school later on.
Isces Johnson plays play sports but is not very talented at dancing or singing. “I don’t really like school, but I don’t hate it, and I will try to be here everyday.
I really don’t talk much to people I don’t know, so I’m a quiet person.”
Julie Pineda admits she doesn’t have a lot of friends, but she loves to draw, read, and make things.

I’m a junior at Foley High School, and I play baseball. I’m a homeroom rep, plus I’m on the fishing team.
I’m also trying to join peer helpers.
Katherine Rodriguez is a junior student at Foley High School. She is involved in many different things around the school, such as the Soccer Team, Internship, Homeroom Representative, Junior Ambassador, HOSA and Key Club.
She is a hardworking and dedicated person, she always gives her best in everything she does.
Karen Padilla is a kind and helping student that strives to achieves her goals once she proposes herself to do so. Karen is a part of Peer Helpers, FEC, FCCLA, and takes part in the school band as a color guard member.
Karen is best know for helping and getting well along with all her peers.

I am a pretty chill person.
Kayla Stringer is nice, quiet, and funny. Some of her hobbies include drawing, volunteering, and color guard.

Lyndsey Peebles is a junior at Foley High School. She is involved in HOSA, Junior Optimist Club, Student Council, Key Club, Link Crew, National Honors Society, and Homeroom Representatives.
She is also a part of the softball team at Foley.
Miranda Brunker is a junior at Foley High School, Class of 2020. She loves to write, edit, photograph, and attend conventions.
While she’s not working or at school, she uses her free time to write and create cosplays that her friends requested.
McKenzie Stiles is a Junior at Foley High School; yes class of 2020! She is in the Foley color-guard and was a part of the winter-guard for two years, but this will be her third year in the guard.
Movies are a huge part of her busy schedule; it is just a part of her nature. McKenzie is shy, but once you get to know her, she truly has genuine heart.
Patricia Espinoza, is a Junior student she is a hard worker student who is dedicated to finishing her work on time. She is in many school activities such as Internship, HOSA,and Junior Ambassador. She is the older sister of five. She was born on the same day the twin towers were coming down.
Presley Middleton is a Junior this year at Foley High School; she is a part of Junior Ambassadors, HOSA, Colorguard/Winterguard, and she takes AP classes. She is the 2018 HOSA Treasurer and wants to go into the Medical Field when she completes school.
Her favorite color is yellow. She loves to paint, take pictures, and she has a small dog named Luna.
Ruben Galvez is a senior this year at Foley High School. He was born in Mexico but has lived here for almost his entire life.
He is the oldest out of his four sisters, and he is 18 years old. During his free time, he goes to work and enjoys playing soccer.
Sarah Harr is a senior at Foley High School who is counting down the days until May 14, 2019. She is a competitive swimmer for the high school swim team as well as a devoted member of NHS, FTA, and Link Crew.
She enjoys writing as a part of the newspaper staff and aspires to be an English teacher after graduating from the University of South Alabama.
Sierra Vickrey is a junior at Foley High School and is on the Foley varsity soccer team.
She also plays club soccer for Gulf Coast Rangers and has a part time job at Rita’s in Foley. She is also has two dogs, Mitzi (9 years) and Violet (6 months).
Sydney Hotard is a driven youngster, taking on junior year as best as she can. She dances almost every night, and when she isn’t dancing, she’s working or doing homework.
Though she’s not the person you’d call up to go party with, if you need help with your homework, she’s your gal.
Trevor Kunkel loves all three of his dogs and all four of his guinea pigs. Trevor also likes kicking it “sidewayz” on his longboard; he is actually sponsored by two different companies out of California and Alabama.
Lastly about Trevor, he cooks the best breakfast food around here.
Zach Sizemore is a senior at Foley High School, who has five siblings and is the oldest of them. He is an athletic and kind person who loves sports. He played defensive back for Foley’s football team for three years.
He plans on attending The University of South Alabama to study communications.
Zoe Mornan is a straight A student that attends Foley High School. She is part of the weapon line in the Mighty Band from Lion Land.
She also is a part of Winter Guard and has a part time job.
Mrs. Amanda Major is in her 9th year teaching at Foley High School. She is a 1988 graduate of Fairhope High School. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1992 with B.S. degrees in English and Philosophy, and she graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1998 with a Masters Degree in Education. She belonged to Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Delta Pi honor societies at U.S.A.
Mrs. Major also teachers seniors at Foley High in a class called the College and Career Project, otherwise known as Senior Leadership, plus she teaches a senior English class. Make good choices!
